Diary of a Quiz enthusiast

The pub I usually quiz at on a Monday decided they would run it on New Year's Day and seeing as I wasn't too hungover from the night before 5 of us went down to give it a go. The format is a 25 question music quiz followed by a 40 question GK quiz which includes 10 pictures. You also get two 'jokers' on each quiz which you write in place of an answer to get the point for it. Our best music quizzer wasn't there which meant I wasn't surprised when we didn't win the music quiz. We got 21, winners got 22. One we missed was an audio question asking for the group. It was the Saturdays. If it's not 80s or 90s I usually won't know it. There was a question about which 2 minute long Queen song is their best selling hit in the USA. We suggested the correct answer but didn't put it. We also missed a question about which pop star had a lesbian relationship with her assistant Robyn Crawford. No one had a clue on this and we eventually plumpe...

Firstly I should make it clear that this is not a quiz about diaries. Quizdiary was taken but diary quiz seemed appropriate enough. I decided this year that I'm going to detail all the quizzes I attend. This has on occasion been 7 quizzes in a week but usually will be 3 or 4. I love quizzes! If I can be bothered I'll also do reviews of some major TV quiz shows, Uni Challenge, Only Connect, Mastermind, Fifteen to One and anything new that I find interesting. I do regularly attend national quiz events such as Quiz in the North and Quizzing.co.uk events so will give brief details of those as well but seeing as I usually do pretty crap at them I won't bore you too much. I'll also be posting quiz questions on the blog as and when I write them for something or when I'm bored. Please let me know if there is anything you want to see here.
